Chugworth Academy

Read this Web Comic.

It is beautifully drawn. It tells the story of 4 college age kids and is highly recommended by the Comics Aficionado.

Wolverine: The Brotherhood

Wolverine: The Brotherhood (Collects Wolverine, Series Two #1-6)

Written by: Greg Rucka
Penciled by: Darick Robertson
Inked by: Tom Palmer (with Darick Robertson)
Colored by: Studio F
Lettered by: Chris Eliopoulos (with Rus Wooten)
Editor: Axel Alonso
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Published: Dec 2003, 144 pages, color.
ISBN: 0785111360

This is the Wolverine I have been waiting to read. Greg Rucka does a phenomenal job portraying the man and the hero in this story arch. I like the common sense, no-nonsense approach he gives Logan. We get to see that beneath the gruff, surly exterior is a truly sensitive man who cares about people.

The art by Darick Robertson is wonderful, though in the middle it looked rushed. His pencils really went well with the inking of Marvel veteran Tom Palmer.

I hope the series continues to maintain such high standards for years to come.

Comic Books and Other Necessities of Life

Written by: Mark Evanier
Illustrations by: Sergio Aragones
Publisher: TwoMorrows Publishing
Published: July 2002, 200 pages, black & white.
ISBN: 1893905152

I really like this book. It is nostalgic and educational all at the same time.

This book is a collection of columns that Mark Evanier wrote for the Comics Buyer's Guide from 1999 to 2001. My personal favorites are "It's not Fannish, it's Cheap!" and the 3-part Comics Code history. I'm sure that you will find your favorites too. Mark covers everything from what it was like to collect comics in the 1960's, to what it is like to work for a comics publisher and the seamy underside of comic fandom.

Keep up the good work guys.

Theater Hopper

This is a great web comic about the life of a movie aficionado/fan. I like the art style and the strips are great to read, usually as one-offs but taken together theyhave some coherency about them.

The comic is in color, so those who require such things should be pleased.

Now if he only would publish a compilation to get people who don't read on the Internet hooked, he would be all set.
